Shooting Drills

SHOOTING DRILL SHOTS MADE

  1. Warm-up shooting (5 mins)
  2. *Close shooting in front of basket (working form) 10 makes

(Keep moving back until you get to FT line)
  3.Mikan drill (RT and LT hand) 10 makes (5 each side)
  4.
Jump shots from both blocks using BACKBOARD 10 makes (5 each side)
  5.
*Elbow jump shots (both RT and LT elbow)* 10 makes (5 each side)
  6.
Free Throws 10 makes
  7. 
10-15 ft. baseline jumpers alternating after each shot 10 makes (10 each side)
  8. 
10-15 ft (shot fake) one dribble jumpers straight on 10 makes
  9. 
Dribble from the right, crossover move and shoot 10 makes (5 each side)
10-15 ft. jumper.  Rebound (continue) and repeat on left side
 10. 
Free Throws 5 makes
 11. 
Start at the right wing, jab step, drive baseline and shoot jumper
(Use the backboard)
 12. 
Start at the left wing, jab step, drive baseline and shoot jumper 5 makes
(Use the backboard)
 13. 
*Three point shots from both wings* 10 makes (5 each X side)

*If you need to move closer, please do so.

TOTAL: 100 SHOTS MADE

 

You must go game speed.  However, do not sacrifice fundamentals.
